Lunch Crockpot Review

For me, a timely lunch at work isn’t always a sure thing. I might eat lunch in my car while traveling between buildings, or might be with students during “normal” lunch hours. On the days where my lunch is built in to my schedule, I cherish every minute! That’s why I’ve been loving Crock Pot’s Lunch Crock. It saves me (precious) time so I can sit and enjoy hanging with my lunch bunch or, when I’m on the run, it is ready as soon as I am.

Here’s why I love the Lunch Crock:

  • No dealing with questionably dirty microwaves in the break room
  • No wasting precious time in line waiting to use the microwave
  • Easy to carry handle
  • Wrap and store cord
  • Cute as heck
  • Can also be used as a dip warmer
  • Small enough to leave on my desk and only transport the inner pot to and from home for cleaning
  • Set and forget-an indicator light shows the device is on and heating

The only negative I’ve found with the Lunch Crock is that the inner pot is not intended to be used for storage and transport of the food. The inner lid is not air tight and could lead to a messy lunch bag spill. It would be nice if there were one less dish to clean, but I’m guessing it was designed that way for a reason for the warming process. Below you can see my pink Lunch Crock featuring my Taco Soup recipe.

So cute, so easy!

It is also important to know that the Lunch Crock is for heating only. It is not for the initial cooking of raw ingredients. I’ve always put my lunch in about 2 hours prior to eating it, since that just works with the flow of my day, but reviewers have said 30 minutes is even enough time.

You can check out the Lunch Crock in several fun colors here. Be sure to enter the giveaway below to win (expired) a white and blue lunch crock (earn 5 entries by completing each action!).
